UCS2904 Advantages
- Up to 24V, allowing for very long cable lengths
- High PWM rate allows for filming these pixels with cameras up to 60fps
- Presence of white LED allows for higher brightness and more color mixing options
UCS2904 Disadvantages
- Data-only restricts refresh rates to be limited by the speed of the protocol, which will generally be slow
- Only 8 bits of data for each color makes dimming curves less smooth
- No redundancy in data
More Details.
1. This strip is 12V UCS2904 4 channel RGBW 60 led digital strips that different with DMX512 RGBW led pixel strips. Actually the protocol is compatible with SK6812 RGBW led tape.
2. Compared to the integrated SK6812 RGBW ones, this external IC chip 12V UCS2904 RGBW 60 LED strip has much higher brightness and much stability.
3. Its advantage is this UCS2904 RGBW digital led strip can play pure white color compared to that classicial WS2811 RGB led strip couldn’t.
4. There are Warm white 2700K, Neutral White 4500K, Cold white 6500K white CCT to choose.
5. Entire strip has 20 pixels ( 80 channels), 60 pcs RGBW leds in a meter with 10mm width pcb board.
6. The strip is made of flexible PCB material, you can cut this stuff pretty easily with wire cutters, there are cut-lines every 3 LED. Solder to the 0.1″ copper pads and you’re good to go.
7. If the 12V UCS2904 RGBW pixel led strip does get damaged, it is often one pixel copper unit broken, in such case, cutting of this copper unit segment and resoldering the rest copper units together brings the strip back to life.
