SM16511 IC Componenets
Support
Note: When configuring your Pixel device, select ‘DMX512′ as your Pixel Type. This is the equivalent protocol that will allow you to use SM16511 pixels.

SM16511 Advantages
- High PWM rate allows for filming these pixels with cameras up to 110fps
- Flexible PWM configuration
- Option for white LED allows for higher brightness and more color mixing options
- Up to 24V, allowing for very long cable lengths
SM16511 Disadvantages
- No redundancy in data
- Operation relies on addressing of the pixels to be correct from the factory (See Operational Behavior below)
Operational Behavior
SM16511 will work with the generic DMX512 protocol as is, but this assumes correct factory set addressing of the individual pixels (addressing is usually pre-set at the factory in the pixels themselves). There is also an external addressing line which could allow the team at Advatek to change the addressing via custom firmware development if required - contact the Advatek Support team to find out more.
