External GS8202 IC Componenets
Note: When configuring your Pixel device, select ‘GS8208′ as your Pixel Type. This is the equivalent protocol that will allow you to use GS8202 pixels.
Technical Specifications

Data Transfer Rate | 800kbps |
Redundant Data Line | Yes |
GS8202 Advantages
- Very high PWM rate allows for filming these pixels with cameras up to 267fps
- Up to 24V, allowing for very long cable lengths
- Redundant data line reduces chance of entire strip failure
- 12-bit built-in gamma correction makes dimming curves more smooth
GS8202 Disadvantages
- Data-only restricts refresh rates to be limited by the speed of the protocol, which will generally be slow
Operational Behavior
Unlike the start-up behavior of GS8206 and GS8208, these pixels won’t show a momentarily flash or test mode. GS8202 pixel lights will instead proceed to respond to their incoming data as soon as they are connected to power.
